Program and topics

Program of the conference "Computer Simulations in Physics and beyond" is concentrated on the analysis and discussion of research and activity in computer simulations and data analysis, which generally meets on the boundary of scientific branches, i.e., which are multidisciplinary research. Multidisciplinarity is essential for knowledge evolution; in our case, it is related to the knowledge outcome due to the computer application as a research tool. It is possible only by a combination of knowledge from researchers with different scientific backgrounds and different competencies. The development of computations demonstrates that computational algorithms and methods of simulations could not be related to some particular research area and is rather lies on the cross-border. Accordingly, program committee members reflect that rainbow of the program and the expertise in informatics, applied mathematics, statistical physics, computational physics, quantum computing, bioinformatics, quantum chemistry, etc. The conference program is also based on the principal activity of Russian researchers in computing, physics, mathematics, and biology.

An essential feature of the conference is a large number of young researchers and students, with poster and oral presentations.

This year is unusual for the Conference due to the pandemic. We understand the difficulty for some participants to come to Moscow, taking into account the timing necessary for the visa in connection with the lockdowns around the world. Consequently, we advisory board and organizing committee change to the new format of the Conference.

All talks will be broadcasted with the Zoom conference system.

  1. We keep the usual format of the Conference: the morning session with three plenary talks, the afternoon parallel sessions, the poster (short online) parallel sessions.
  2. We keep all formats of the presentations for those who will be able to travel to Moscow. We will be glad to be united in Moscow.
  3. The daily session with three plenary talks by zoom.
  4. Parallel sessions and poster sessions by the corresponding number of zoom channels.
  5. Any participant can deliver her/his presentation in person or online.
  6. Plenary talks. Invited plenary speakers, leading researches in the field, will give plenary talks. Talks would be of review type, with a focus on the computational methods and results in the field of research. Plenary talks are scheduled for each day, 40 minutes each.
  7. The online-Poster session(s) will be in the format of short presentations (5-6 slides), not more than 10 minutes.
